This work was created in Shizuoka, Japan,
where a long tradition of natural fiber weaving continues.
The motif appears through the kasuri technique,
in which threads are resist-dyed before weaving.
Each process is carried out by hand,
from preparing the kudzu fiber
to the final weaving.
